The easiest way to calculate your order subtotal is to take the total you paid and subtract taxes and shipping charges.
Discounts should be subtracted from merchandise totals. Discounts include % or dollar off coupon codes, gift with purchase or other free items, rewards coupons (Kohl's cash, Gap cash, Gap rewards, etc.).
If an order inquiry is submitted with an inaccurate subtotal, it could cause it to be declined by the merchant, so it's very important to provide the correct amount.
